Here are two easy ways to dry and press your flowers:
If you have 30 days to preserve your favorite flowers.
How to press flowers with a book:
First, gather the materials needed:
- Flowers and greenery that you want to include in your design
- Parchment paper
- Several heavy books
Next, prepare the flowers and greenery, by removing any dead or wilting pieces. Once you have selected your blooms, lay them flat onto the parchment paper. If you are including a bloom that has a blub shape, cut the bulb in half. This will give you the best results for this type of bloom. Place the parchment paper in between the pages of a large book. Add additional heavy books for weight.
Finally, leave the flowers in the book for 30 days. Once the flowers dry out, they’re ready to be displayed or added into a beautiful picture frame!

A Tip from our Floral Designer: When selecting flowers to press, you will want to include a variety of flowers and greenery from the original flower arrangement. Choose which flowers and greenery you want to include in your design BEFORE they start to wilt. This will ensure that the flower still looks vibrate once it has been pressed.
